Last day in Salvador

We got up for breakfast but then went back to bed as we were still tired from the night before.

We had a little wander around the coast and carnival route – it’s amazing how quickly they’ve cleaned up and started to dismantle all the camarotes.

We had a stroll around the Barra Lighthouse.

For lunch we had a traditional Brazilian dish – moqueca – a delicious fish and prawn stew.

Late afternoon we had a very heavy rain shower but because it’s so warm the streets had dried up in minutes.

Being Valentine’s day we watched the sunset with a beer, very romantic!

  1. You seem to have nice weather there. How hot is it? We had strong frost again last night, have to scrape the car every time we want to use it. Drive was all slippery this morning. On Tuesday I went out dancing and the wind screen was frozen from the inside!!! Not nice.
Can you send some warmth this way?
Nice to read your posts. Highlight of the day when you write one. Nice to see the photos with all those nice, warm colours when it is so dull and grey here.
    Love Mum xx

    1. Today is around 30 degrees but cloudy. Wi-Fi here isn’t as good as in Colombia so can’t post as much. We went to see Christ the Reedemer statue today but the view wasn’t great because of the clouds!
Can’t believe it’s so cold there that the windscreen was frozen from the inside! H xx
