I am female, 53 and single. I am having a great time in my forties and fifties and wanted to share some of my positive (and potentially negative) experiences with you.

I know as we age not everything turns out the way we expected it to – I certainly didn’t think I’d end up where I am today, but I’ve found that being forty has been a brilliant time for me and I hope that continues into my fifties. I’ve really discovered who I am and what I want in life – to a degree anyway – I haven’t completely got everything sorted. But I also accept that things are never going to be perfect – including me – and that’s ok, life really is about the journey and making the most of it.
